This project involved the full refurbishment of a third floor apartment within a 1930’s mansion block in a bustling area of Notting Hill. After stripping out the dated features and finishes minor structural alterations were made to free up valuable natural light and open up the internal layout. Working closely with the client we designed a simple, fresh interior installing white Oak flooring and finishing all walls in chalky white – maximising the hanging space for the clients extensive art collection.
The addition of lacquered and walnut lined bespoke joinery made full use of the tight floor space stripping away the need for any unnecessary elements, handles, plaster mouldings etc.
A minimal handle-less kitchen makes full use of the small floor area and without wall units allows the living space to be located adjacent to it without it feeling too awkward and overbearing.
