We are currently looking for both a Part I or Part II architectural assistant (to fill a vacancy from end of January – end of May) to join our Hackney-based studio. Dependent on workload and suitability the intention would be to extend the role to a permanent position.

The practice is currently working on several private residential projects, two of which are due to commence on-site in January. This would be a great opportunity to work as part of our small close-knit team on every stage and gain valuable site experience. We seek a highly motivated candidate who has a passion for architecture, design and the broader creative arts and are willing to learn and also bring an extra dimension to the team.

Qualifications, qualities and experience required:

– RIBA part I or II qualified
– 2-3 years studio / site experience would be beneficial but is not essential
– confident to work independently, demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to stay focused, meet deadlines and to think for themselves
– ability to work as part of a collaborative team
– proficient at both 2D+3D software ( Autocad, Sketchup) with the ability to produce illustrative visualisations and diagrams
– excellent design and presentation skills, including hand drawing
– excellent graphical skills with ability to produce succinct presentation
– applicants should include a brief covering letter explaining their suitability, strengths and aspects in which they wish to gain further experience
